Your Journey of Self-Discovery

Open the door to all the possibilities of joy and abundant health that await you! Whatever you may be experiencing, sometimes it helps to talk through it with a trusted confidant. As a coach, I believe that you hold all the answers to your questions and inherently know what is right for you. I can help serve as a guide by asking the right questions, helping you articulate your values, needs and wants and pointing you in the direction I hear that you want to go. I always say, I can point you in a direction…but only you can tell me what you see. We can examine your habits and behaviors, what is working well for you and what you want to change. And from this point, together, we can create a plan for you to take the next and necessary steps to begin heading in the direction that is best for you and supports your most joyful health and life.

Slow and Steady Will (Quickly) Get You Where You Want To Be and Help Your Healthy Results Be Permanent

Often times…the very habits we want to change now…actually were built years ago -even decades ago – so trying to make many changes all at once as quickly as possible is challenging and can lead to reverting back to old habits causing frustration, discouragement and ceasing to improve all together. That is exactly what we don’ t want! You can begin with smaller steps at a slower pace and add more action steps or pick up the pace as soon as you feel is right for you. You would be surprised at how even a simple, seemingly small step will make huge, positive differences in your life – very quickly! This is what I can help you with as a coach…reducing your overwhelm, figuring out where to begin and how to begin and helping you put together a plan of action that is actually achievable and enjoyable. My coaching style is very patient and caring. I always look to my client to decide what will be discussed in our session as well as choosing the pace at which you make your changes in your health habits and overall well-being. If a client wishes to … I gently guide or as we say in coaching “stretch” you when needed to continue to maintain successful momentum. My hope for you is to feel encouraged and never overwhelmed. You probably already feel overwhelmed by certain aspects of your life. Together, we will decide what steps are best to take and at what pace. Often times, starting out with smaller, manageable, realistic and slower steps is best to ensure you will be able to carry out your plans and maintain them – for life.

How Eating More Fruits and Vegetables Will Help Get You Where You Want To Be

When I was caring for my Mom, I was overwhelmed. I was terrified for her future as well as mine as her daughter. Was Multiple Sclerosis hereditary? Then, I experienced all these same concerns again when my father was diagnosed with cancer. The worry and sadness watching my parents progress through the different stages of their illnesses was traumatic – for them and for myself as their child. There were times over the almost 30 years, I fell into deep stages of grief and depression. I share this with you because, along with my faith, I believe the food I chose (and choose) to put in my body has saved my life. Eating fruits and vegetables has protected and nourished not only my physical health but my mental and emotional health as well. There is an abundance of science to support the beneficial outcomes of eating more fruits and vegetables on human health. And not eating animal products feeds my spiritual health too. I view my body as a gift that I want to preserve as long as I can. I was always (and still am) beyond grateful. That is not to say I don’t ever get sick…or that I will never develop a disease like my parents developed. But I am dedicated to doing all I can to support my health and overall well-being all while doing so with a joyful hearth and spirit. This is why I chose to become a Wellness Counselor and Health and Life Coach. I love sharing what I have learned with my clients and witnessing the joy they experience from creating healthy habits that become a permanent joy-filled lifestyle.

Disclaimer:
* Although I hold a Master’s degree in Human Development from the University of Rochester, (New York), I choose to provide a Health and Wellness counseling service as opposed to a Mental Health counseling service. I feel I can better serve my clients this way. Because I chose not to become licensed, I do not diagnose, cure, heal, or treat any conditions or disease, I do not prescribe medications or supplements or create food and meal plans. I do however, work in collaboration with your medical providers. Any information I share with clients, I suggest always checking with your licensed medical providers, doctors, nurses, nutritionist or dietician. I do share research I have learned from my formal education as well as the whole food plant-based doctors whose work and research I have studied. This is done for educational purposes and I always encourage clients to consult with their own medical providers and doctors.
